Our apartment communities provide a welcoming home where scholars create memories, share ideas, and grow alongside friends. Meal plans are not part of apartment contracts, but may be purchased separately through Berkeley Dining.
Undergraduate Apartments
Most apartment housing options are conveniently located a few blocks from the south side of campus. Undergraduate apartments are only available to transfer and continuing students, not incoming first-year students. Meal plans are not included with apartment contracts, but may be purchased separately via Berkeley Dining.
Channing Bowditch
Low-rise buildings clustered around two south-facing courtyards. Features flat and townhouse apartments with single-, double-, and triple-occupancy rooms in two to four bedroom units.
Clark Kerr
A mini-neighborhood on the southeast side of campus with amazing courtyards and green spaces. Double and triple rooms in shared apartments.
Enclave*
Situated amidst restaurants, cafes, shops, and bookstores. Features a Moorish Castle design with terraces. Variety of single and double rooms in shared apartments.
Helen Diller Anchor House
New apartment building designed to foster connection and belonging for transfer students. Features fully- furnished studios and apartments with two, three or four bedrooms, all with single-occupancy bedrooms.
Martinez Commons
Conveniently two blocks south of campus, this location prioritizes sophomores and upper division students. Apartments are single gender and feature private rooms with semi-private living spaces.
New Sequoia*
Designed for more independent living, apartments overlook Telegraph Avenue in the urban heart of Berkeley and have access to a shared internal courtyard. Features two to four bedrooms with single- and double-occupancy rooms.
Panoramic Berkeley*
An independent living environment with efficient and modern design. Features four or five bedrooms with single-occupancy rooms.
Wada
Apartment building with spacious bedrooms located in the Unit 2 complex. Most apartments feature two bedrooms with double- or triple-occupancy rooms.
xučyun ruwway Apartments
Fully-furnished apartments with single-occupancy bedrooms for both undergraduate and graduate students. Located on a direct AC Transit bus line to campus, xučyun ruwway is adjacent to a Sprouts grocery store, a coffee shop, walk-up ATM and other amenities. Work out in the on-site fitness center, unwind with friends in lush outdoor courtyards, enjoy the outdoor grill area, or study in well-appointed community spaces.
Graduate Student Apartments
Graduate students can apply for campus housing in the following apartment complexes:
Ida Jackson House
Located one block from the campus, the complex offers space for 120 graduate students in two-, three-, four-, five-, and six-bedroom shared apartments.
Intersection
An independent-living option for single graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in studio, one-, two-, and four-bedroom configurations. Located three miles from the campus, the complex is within walking distance of many shopping centers and local businesses.
Manville
Located three blocks from the southwestern corner of campus at Shattuck Avenue and Channing Way, Manville Apartments are within walking distance of downtown Berkeley, near shops, banks, movie theaters, restaurants, and public transportation.
xučyun ruwway Apartments
